Has anyone cancelled their Amazon prime subscription and had them contact you after to offer a deal to rejoin?

Never been contacted, I would be very suspicious.

theye usually just offer you an extension automatically as part of the cancellation process on the website

maybe change your Amazon passports and email password

It was done automatically through the website when i started the process of cancelling. Reduced it by (i think) 20sek a month. I usually wait until i realise the price has gone up again then cancel again. It's worked so far.

I cancelled last week. No offers, no reduction, no attempt to retain.

I get a free trial, catch up on the good tv, cancel, wait a bit, get offered another free trial when buying stuff, repeat.

Never been offered a discount when cancelling. Just several ‘are you sure you v want to cancel’ screens before you can actually cancel

No, had no idea it was a thing but I recently allowed my subscription to expire (not sure but I make the distinction as opposed to proactively canceling).

I had it for "free" with my mobile contract, I try not to order on amazon and found having prime removed the hurdle so feel better not having it

I've just bought a Firestick. Call me cynical if you like but when I got to the Prime page every time I clicked on No Thanks it couldnt connect me to the network then when I accepted the free trial voila instant connection! 🤔

I've had two free trials since cancelling earlier this year

Currently on a 30 day which I cancelled immediately but still runs the course.

Subscription cancelled, I don't think I will miss it but if I find the need for it again! I will try a free trial for what I may need, then simply let it expire or cancel again.

I sometimes use the free subscription if I want something quicker without having the postage double the price, then cancel, but when season two of The Periferal comes out I’ll wait until about halfway through, get something on Prime so I can binge-watch half of it then watch the rest as usual.

Season one worth watching then? I was about to start it earlier in the week then noticed the running time and thought it was likely to suffer significantly from being longer than it would take a five year old to read the book, like the rings of power.

That and I was too knackered to start a decent length episode of something which should be a bit difficult to follow.

based on this thread I went to cancel my subscription after the free trial expires and got an offer of an additional 30 days, so my free trial is now 53 days and counting. Just set a new reminder on my phone.

Personally I know that I buy more from Amazon during the free trial period, so I'm guessing their algorithm knows this as well!
