I know they're not everybody's cup of tea but we do dabble, mostly for getting stuff delivered to relatives (or sometimes just fast delivery) - often enough for me & the wife to want to share a Prime account.  Trouble is that I think you have to get a 2FA code sent to a phone number, which realistically means only one of us could use it.

Is there a way to get codes sent to email, or maybe use an authenticator ?

You don't have to use 2fa

No 2FA required. I share an account with my daughter (well, it's my account that she uses) and she lives a couple of hours drive away.

But you should.

You can do it through the Amazon app.  Email also I think,

If you live in the same house, then you can each have an account but share the benefits. Only one of you needs to be a prime subscriber.
