Never to old to be cool. It's just a state of mind.

Old blokes rule.

Fwiw, how old do you consider to be old ?

If you're reading STW forum at the same as the above time then you're doing it wrong irrespective of age.

Hey, OP! You could do with having a think about the language you use! Seriously, your user name paints a rather negative self-image and regarding yourself as 'old' at 41… 😯

Everything is a state of mind and attitude! 😉

I'm 58 next month & don't give a rats about being/looking cool.
Is that cool or just being old?

Why would I go out of my way to look cool?

I think It's cool to look uncool anyway, my Mrs always says 'are you getting changed'? before we even go round Morrissons.
I don't usually.

So,...your'e getting on a bit (like me), drinking in a street bar (on your own or with someone?)& watching the girls go by.

That's pervy.

(or it could be cool, but not both)

Surely the most important part of being over 40 is not caring what others think about you! Revelatory. My kids would never admit to be being cool. The closest they have come is admitting i had good clothes taste for a 16yo. Since i tend to buy most of their clothes on business trips to the US, i take that as a compliment.

Now had you said number 3 stubble, you might have been 8)

Just to be clear: "titty bars" are so deeply uncool that even a really nice beard won't rescue you from being dreadful. Regardless of age.

£150ish lighter

How much?!?!? 😯

I love living in the North sometimes, for £150 I could buy everyone in my local a couple of rounds and still get change. 😀

I'm 41

Whatever gave you the impression there are an abundance of 21 year olds on here?? I think there are maybe 1 or 2.

Define 'cool' in intended context and then we may discuss 8)

ie 'cool' like someone unhurried, smart, wise, empathic, good at what they do without being boastful, not overly hung up on fashion, happy in their own skin etc?

or 'cool' like a middle-aged man sincerely attempting some unholy confection of Ali G and MJF circa Back To The Future?

If you have to ask, it ain't cool, now relax.
