The wife thinks I am a mysogynist. I have no female freinds, I don't find women funny, she says that if there were say, a group of random people on tv, I would always be irritated by the women. She kind of has a point, but surely misogyny is a little strong? I don't mind her friends or women at work, I just don't seek out their company socially. Does this make me a misogynist?

Make a few female friends. Go out riding and socialising with them. See what your wife then calls you.

It's more likely you're a homosexual in denial.

If you're a misogynist it doesn't say anything good about your wife's taste in partners.

Unless you're in the middle of a rancorous divorce of course.

The thing with the homosexual theory, I don't think I am that keen on the sex or emotion part of it, plus men don't have big enough tits...

My ex encouraged me to have as many female friends as I liked. However, this was on the condition that they were all utter swamp donkeys with the sort of rancid faces that could persuade a rabid bulldog to walk backwards.

My current G/F is throwing a sulk because i want to do the CRC Ruthin marathon round.
We've just been to the Grassington one & had a great time, however due to work she can't do Ruthin.
Because one of my mates is female she is pulling her face. The fact that the friend in question will have her 12yr old son along and i don't fancy her anyway (nor she me) plus several other people doesn't seem to figure in her head...

love the way you've used the word 'current' there MD..

and to the OP - you're a man who doesn't have any close female friends - that doesn't seem unusual to me.

A lot of women are incredibly irritating - their voices are often more grating imo. I'm sure there must be some men out there who annoy you though, so I imagine you're just a tad unsociable.

Aye - summit like that. Mibbe I shouldn't have kept referring to her as Jo 🙂

its not misogyny unless you hit them, otherwise its just male nature - I don't find women politicians particularly charismatic nor do I find women comediennes funny but I wouldn't say i'm a misogynist, just chauvinist and there's nothing wrong with that!

EDIT: (substitute 'charismatic' with other adjectives which don't sound like they shouldn't be doing the job in the first place!)

I would have thought being frowned upon is the whole point, having dislikes that make you dislikable.

I think I'm a misanthropist so you must be 50% better than me.

Sounds to me like you just have your own, unique taste in things. Just makes you a person I think?

Yes, and if anybody says otherwise, then they almost certainly are as well. Has that cleared it up for you?

The only way for a proper diagnosis is for you to post a picture of your wife.

If you were a misogynist, you wouldn't be discussing her opinion.

Tell her to get back in the kitchen and stop getting ideas that she should be allowed an opinion - that should help her re-calibrate her misogyny scale.

it just makes you boring and antisocial, which is fine. Not even illegal, so don't fret about it!

You need to break down your resistance.
I suggest a marathon session of loose women watching, with plenty of Valium to hand.

I think your wife learned a new word today and is trying it out. Keep her pretty little head busy with cooking, cleaning and humiliating sexual acts and she'll soon forget about it.
