Afternoon all

Having spent the afternoon trying futilely to upload some new music onto iTunes for my OT I now have no music on said phone and a message informing me there has been a calamity and all hope is lost.

So whats a good alternative to iTunes to use on an iPhone?

I’m trying to understand how anyone could spend an afternoon trying to get music into iTunes and failing. It something I’ve been doing since I got my own computer in 2005, and I only cocked it up once, trying to copy all my music from one HDD to another with insufficient memory available... Fortunately I had my entire library on my iPod, so copied it back from there. Anyway, it’s just rip from CD or DVD, or download from the net. Then connect the phone and set to manually manage music and video, highlight the tracks, and tap on the little dots by the side of the track, select ‘copy to (device name)’ and that should do it. You can drag and drop to the device where it’s shown in the list down the side of iTunes.

I guess that if it had been that straight forward there wouldn't have been a need for me to post about it asking for an alternative because each time I had tried this very simple procedure it kept giving error messages which prompted me to uninstall and reinstall the program several times before it wiped all the music that was currently on the phone.

But I'm glad its working out for you Count ... 🙄

Your music doesn't go into iTunes on your iPhone. It goes into "music". Then select artist in music.

Apart from that. Don't really understand what you are doing wrong.
