Spotify skip the ripping as you can listen to whatever you want.

only a limited number of times in a period though unless you pay.

I've always found wmp works well.

I also use Google music to upload all my music so I can stream it to my phone anywhere I have internet.

Yep I pay for spotify it's less than an album a month for unlimited and mobile. Good value really

Windows Media Player for ripping.
Media Monkey for library style duties.

Fine, so long as you can always find free wifi, otherwise your monthly data allowance is going to get shafted.
I used to listen to 6Music on my phone, for about three-four hours a day, five days a week. That was 500Mb of data.
Show me how many networks give you 2Gb/month free.

Not really it syncs playlists to my phone when I'm at home so I have a lot off music offline. I mostly have random new music playlists etc for some variety.

It's at the point now where I don't use my music library at all

Another vote for the paid version of spotify from me. I used to download my music or rip CD's and play them via Google music or use Itunes but now find spotify loads better. Good way to explore music through other peoples playlists etc

As above. Three are unlimited and only £12.60/month 🙂

It's the future!

...one that Apple does not offer yet, so probably why CZ won't get onboard.

I did look at Mediamonkey but the 30 days only of ripping unless you pay for an upgrade put me off. I like the sound of stumpy01's suggestion of monkey and WMP.
