You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Our planned holiday to Israel has been stopped due to the coronovirus. We've ridden lots of tours from the BP website and its always a good resource but I'm just after a few ideas from other places. Anybody point me in the right direction? Hipster beards and checked shirts not compulsory.
Thanks.
bearbones?
although they will probably direct you toward sleeping in a ditch in mid-wales as the pinnacle in bikepacking.
We're not that nasty @jam bo, the ditch is actually in Nottinghamshire.😊
OP - bikepacking.com does seem to have the majority of "published" routes. Without knowing where you've already been and what you prefer it's hard to recommend anywhere! Given Israel as your original destination then maybe Jordan or Oman or Morocco. Then again we've no way of knowing what travel restrictions might appear for those countries in the near future.
Ask over on BB, you'll get a few more suggestions.
We just wanted some sun really. We've cycled extensively through the Americas and have 14 years experience of touring and wanted a mtb/off road based route. However, future travel restrictions my bugger it all up. I'll check out the BB site.
Cheers
I can help with routes and logistics in NE Spain, we live in Cataluna and do a lot of multi day trips here. Flights still seem to be operating fine, I'm running a 9 day coast to coast trip over Easter which is largely off road.PM me for more info.
God, go and do the Altraversur in Spain (sorry it's on Bikepacking but it's basically an edited version between the Transandalus - amazing loop through Andalucia made by local volunteers - and the GR7). I think Logan's route is good though and worth following - it edits in some nice historical sites and gets the best of the Sierra Nevada and Cazorla. Southern (rural) Spain is cheap enough, way cheaper than Israel which is a joke by the way (in terms of expensive). Failing that, Morocco?
