STW being the font of all wisdom, I'm sure I'll get some good advice on here 😁

Our standard corner shower (quadrant?) Keeps leaking, and having to reseal every year is a ballache + the grouting looks manky.

I was thinking of ripping it out and installing an all-in-one shower cubicle of similar dimensions.
Should solve the leaking and sealing issues, and I can just install over the existing tiles, so saves a chunk of work.

Looking online something like this...

...would suit. Doesn't need so many bells and whistles tbh! Not bothered about having the hydro massage function 😆

Is that a good price, and are there any glaring issues with this type of shower enclosure?

There was a thread on this not too long ago. Haven't a clue who started it but iirc the conclusion was don't do it!

Edit: scrub that. No water jets involved but lots of plastic was.

Sorry, it was actually a shower pod but it's very similar. Personally I'd be worried about limescale and cleaning those jets especially if you're in a hard water area.

On the other hand, could be useful for cycling aches and pains.

Ah, that makes sense 👍 we are hard water here, but I'm not bothered about the jets, so will look for one with just an overhead and handheld bit.

Genuinely seems that it would solve my sealing/leaking woes.
The previous owners had ignored the leaky silicone, to the point they had water running down the kitchen wall below the shower!
I've kept on top of it by resealing it all every year, but my god, it's a hassle.

After 6 years (with us, it's probably 10+ years old) it's time for a change.
