Remember the tv doc with husband and kid(s?) going to K2 and the end shot was the daughter saying that the wisp of cloud on the summit was mummy waving. Heartbreaking.

Kids seem to have done alright - Tom Ballard is a very accomplished climber who recently completed winter solos of the 6 ‘great’ alpine north faces - same as his mum did but she was the first person to do it in summer!!!
