Hopefully someone with some local knowledge can help, heading up early January for a weekend to visit a friend who's recently moved to the Whitby area.
Was wondering if there were any good local micro brewery type places with either tap rooms or bottle shops that were worth a visit. Went to the New Inn/Cropton before.

There is a brewery in Cropton, but I don't know any of its beers as I've never tried them.
