I think it's a great beer. I tend to buy that and Hobgoblin from there.

It's super tasty, really like it. Our local one stopped doing it and replaced it with some dutch muck. I was gutted.... 🙁

The tins of St Etienne are perfect BBQ beers, only about £3 for 4.

yeah i switched to this after they stopped doing Berliner Kindl and replaced it with a knock-off imitation.

It's now the only good lager they do in our shop and i'm scared they'll do the same and

stop doing it and replace it with some dutch muck

😥

Had a bbq last week. Ppl brought Birra Morretti and Becks, tried the Steinhauser, agreed it was great then rinsed our supplies of it and left us with a fridge full of Morretti instead 😡

6 bottles - only 330ml but still good value IMO.

@cynic-al - it's a classic pilsner style i'd say. Substantially more full bodied than something like Becks - more in the Pilsner Urquell field but not quite as bitter as that 🙂

It's a great pilsner, very flavoursome. Highly addictive in summer on warm days.

Just bought some today. It's OK, not a great deal of flavour. Funnily enough, looking for this thread I found the guardian review of it which calls it one dimensional. W*nkishly, I'd agree. But also it's not bad at all and would be ace on a hot sunny day if there's any of them left.

Pilsner to me is super dry, this isn't.

Which I like.

But at £2 a litre there are others around, Innis and Gunn £4 for 4 cans (might be 440) in Tescos

Get in, local Aldi has ditched the Dutch tat and got steinhauser back in.

I just bought 4x 12 bottle cases of their American style IPA. Really very good for £1.09/330ml bottle. Quite close to Sierra Nevada, which I like, IMO...
