this part just broke on my air riveter (typically 5 mins from getting a job out lol)

It's just a cheap generic one, done really well to be fair. Must've put thousands of rivets in, plus it was given to me 2nd hand! Anyone know what this part is called and/or where I can source a new one?

Failing that, any recommendations for a decent branded replacement one?

No idea about the part but I think toolstation sell air rivet guns.

I have a couple of ones from machine mart I bought for a job - must have put a couple of thousand rivets in with them over a week but not something I use regularly so can't comment on longevity beyond that

It seems to be the way of things with airtools that they are either unbranded/own brand stuff from diy outlets for about £50 or industry grade / production line quality and a £1000 a pop. But I don't think theres been any cheep airtool I've bought from the likes of Toolstation or Machine Mart that has been fundamentally bad - the all seem to work well enough.

Definitely one of the most useful air tools if you rivet , that’s a generic design , even Lidl Parkside are the same.
Anywhere you can get one will likely do the job.

Yeah, everyone seems to sell that exact same generic one. Machine Mart are best priced (£60) trouble is they’re only doing standard delivery of a week or so. Really balk at paying £100-120 for the exact same tool from someone else just for next day delivery!! Only brand (that I recognise!) name one I found was Bahco for about £400 🙄

Good shout! There actually is one not a million miles from me, I have put finishing the job off till next week now tho so going to order one for delivery.

then we bought a Beta one
Again that looks VERY similar to the generic units, especially the Lidl/Parkside one. 🤔 I guess it's possible that it's the same design, but the components are made to a higher quality.
