Can you get recirculating air systems for houses? Does anyone do this? It's always warm in our house on the top floor (of three) outside the airing cupboard, and it's always cold on the ground floor. Can you get a system that sucks air from the ceiling and pipes it down to the ground floor? It could have a dust filter in it and the air movement might stop dust accumulating in the house.
Though they are not designed for that, the attic air circulation fans would work.
We fit them in houses with condensation problems (usually the tenants will not open any windows to let fresh air in, so black mould starts growing)
The one linked below is a basic version, there are other makes that do far better ones and have an heated output too.
You can get basic wind driven air vents to full blown heat recovery systems. Choice is mainly budget depending I guess.
We are moving house in the new year to somewhere we are likely to spend a few decades so looking at all sorts of stuff like this. Main aim is to make the building as energy efficient as possible while not costing a fortune to install.
Moon on a stick anyone?
