i have bought some ramps for my garden for the kids.. cough cough.. however the guy who had them before me was from a plastic welding company and joined the ramps together at the bottom using a method called HDPE. Is anyone familiar with this? IV emailed a local company to see if they can do anything but I'm wondering if there are any other products out there which would do the same job or similar,, all the joints are straight and flat on the floor. I'm using gorilla tape at present which ain't the best

Plastic welding HDPE (which is the material not the technique) is fairly straightforward so long as you don’t need it to be pretty.

youtube will help, but for small jobs a soldering iron can do the job, a hot air gun may help or be better, and some people even use a blow torch! You can buy cheap plastic welders on line.

if it is HDPE you won’t be able to glue it or bond it in any other way unless the design would make it easy to bolt it together.

PTex sticks commonly used in ski base repair are HDPE

The easiest thing is to trim bits off the rest of the structure (from redundant non structural parts).

If you need “rod” you can buy it on eBay or amazon.

if you just need some cheap HDPE and aren’t fussed about colour, shape, or grade etc then most milk bottles will be HDPE.
