After a new phone- keen on getting a decent robust phone but with a decent camera so I dont have to carry a compact camera around. Dont want to spend loads of dosh if possible either! Hard to please 😉
I recently bought a Samsung wave 11 from Carphone Warehouse for £110.Obviously not the best phone about but i am very happy with it as it has a 5mp camera built in and records in 720p HD.
"I want a phone with a camera" is like saying "I want a phone that makes phone calls" - you'd be hard pressed to find a phone that doesn't have a camera on it, these days.
Motorola Defy, perhaps? Rugged, 5mp camera.
@Cougar- precisely- they all come with cameras, but I presume most are absolute pap. Hence the emphasis on camera 😉
Defy- I'll need to have a wee looky...
I think some of the Samsung phones have cameras that use similar optics and software to their cameras.
Personally just upgrade from an iPhone 3G with a useless 2meg camera (software and optics were poor as well as low resolution) and moved to an 8meg HTC Sensation XE with flash. £ 27 a month contract, £ 20 upfront (O2 price matched a phones 4 U offer).
Don't be fooled by pixel count. Just 'cos a phone has an 8meg or 5meg camera doesn't mean it'll take better pictures than a slightly lower count. The iPhone 4's camera is 5Mp, but generally considered to be about the best on the market, because of the back-lit chip tech. The 4S uses Sony's 8Mp back-lit camera, which certainly produces outstanding 1080p HD video.

What you need is a camera that can make calls...
I've got a defy and its good, however its not one of the better smartphones for pictures
The Sony Xperia Arc is definitely worth looking at if you want good pictures from a phone
Another option of course is to get a tough compact camera Olympus,Sony,Pentax all make them. I managed to get one awhile back from best buy reduced heavily.
