Hey guys, planning a session out at either Afan off piste, or Staunton.
Does anyone know whether either have been badly effected by the recent storms, and/or FC logging? Quite a few local spots have been annihilated recently, any insights either way saving a wasted day would be hugely appreciated.
All reports from the last week are that Staunton's all good, bar a few little bits like usual, same across the FoD, no clue about Afan though.
One of the trails that starts from the forestry track on the border between the woods and felled areas is quite badly blocked at Afan, but everything else is fine. Everything fine in Staunton.
Staunton is my local, I can pretty see the start of some of the trails from our upstairs window. Most trails are running really well, there is a big tree down on bunker, mind your head - it's quite low! We had a bit of rain Wednesday so it'll probably be a bit damp and puddly in places today but it dries quick at this time of year and we're forecast nice weather today so it should be a prime spring riding weekend with the smell of the wild garlic to add to the experience. I'm heading out shortly, maybe I'll bump into you!? Have a good one!
Cheers for this guys, super useful really appreciate it!
It’s all dusty, Staunton was bone dry earlier this week, all trails running well, I tend to stick to normal FoD stuff and it was bone dry today, even dust clouds forming due to the wind 😂
