The Aeropress Go is neat and compact, but doesnt give you anywhere to keep your coffee.
I found you can get a fancy aluminum container "crafted" to "seamlessly slide" into the regular aeropress, but theyre absurldly pricey for what they are.
Or i could use an old 35mm plastic film canister (not sure on the volume of them)
but then it struck me, why not just get a 50mm (the ID of the plunger) bung and use the plunger itself?

Keep is stupid simple
Am i a genius, or have i missed something?!
Can i start selling 50mm bungs to Aeropress/bikpacking nerds for a fiver?

Get a fancy looking logo on it and sell it for a tenner
Don't you store the stirrer etc in the plunger?

keep the weight down and use a tyre lever?
stir using titanium chopstick surely?
Excellent.
Just had a reply from Aeropress .
" That's a great idea Mr Haggis, please accept this one of payment for £42,000"
Best regards - Coffee Bob.
I use a stretchy silicone cover, specifically, the clear one from this set (but I'm sure plenty of others will fit): https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/oevermaett-food-cover-set-of-3-silicone-multicolour-80417311/
You'll lose less space with that.
I also use the pink one instead of the heavy, bulky red cover that comes with the Go.

About 1/2 a cup of coffee probably.
Rubber bung? I've only just met her.
Why not just use a ziploc baggie?
I'm also a bit lost. I store the spoon and stirrer in the plunger. I just take a bag of coffee (closed with a clip) to go with it
The only downside to the Go is its smaller than the normal one, but former in the van and latter at home
I have one of these
So this would only be good for one cup of coffee, right?
Otherwise you'd need somewhere to put the ground coffee while you make the coffee?
No, he's saying put it inside the plunger itself, and find somewhere else to put the spoon and stirrer.
I was disappointed with the filter paper holder on the go. It’s next to useless as it keeps opening. Where are people storing their papers?
Ziploc bag of coffee for me

Ah, I thought mine was broken!
I put a rubber band around it.
