For the past hour or so I've been able to hear a prop driven aircraft doing what appears to be circuits. I Can't see it, can just hear it! We are only 5 miles or so from Leeds Bradford Airport.

It can't me taking images now when it's dark ?

Neither does it sound like it's doing landing & take offs

Just a constant bloody drone !

Its harvest time, sure its not a combine harvester doing circuits of a field?

Got a similar noise at ours this evening and I know they are harvesting, and they'll work all night if they think the sunny spell is coming to an end...

Have a look on flight radar to see what it is (if it's commercial)?

Sounds like the local authority have stumped up for aerial imagery of the area

Do local radio still have a traffic plane? There used to be a light twin flew out of LBA both rush hours for that reason..

There's a flying school on the south side of LBA. Chances are you've just experienced a "learner driver "

NB remember when buying a house near an airport , there may be the noise of aeroplanes

Be grateful you don't live in Thornbury, where Police helicopter is a nightly occurrence
