Hi, we have storage heaters on E7 which are old and don’t hold heat till the evening. So we’d like to replace them.  I like the look of the elkatherm But they are expensive. Are there any other decent electric systems?

cheers

We had new storage heaters on Total Heat Total Control / Economy 10.

Imo it was no cheaper than next doors E7 on older heaters.

Still cost £230 a month on a 4 bed house.

insulation, thermostats that work properly, and oil filled radiators for top up heat.

I'm not sure you can do much other than get normal convector heaters that actually come on when you want them. Electricity is 100% efficient so I don't know how you can improve upon that...... it's just more expensive if you run it without E7.

We are in a flat that isn’t wonderfully insulated. We want domething that is efficient and responsive. E7 storage has usually run out by the evening
