I've lurked on here for many years, and the STW community has always been ace at answering the most random of questions.
I've been seeing a therapist for about 6 months now, to work through anxiety and depression which had been building over a few years and had reach tipping point - and it's helped significantly, if only to have an independent sounding board to work through the causes.
Unfortunately, at my last session, my therapist is stepping aside from work for a period to deal with family matters.
Thus, having got through the initial process of understanding each other, I feel like I'm back to the start.
Can anyone recommend someone new to approach in the Norths Leeds or Harrogate area.... a google search just produces lots of names, but how do you pick one??
For reference, my last one came as a personal recommendation by a friend looking out for me.
Thanks in advance
Hi Sheeps - I am just back from my session with http://www.headspaceleeds.com/ - been going for a couple of months now to try and deal with my anxiety and can certainly recommend.
I may know someone Sheffield based if that's any good?
Thanks ahsat... I'll have a look.
Sheffield's a bit in the wrong direction unfortunately.
sheeps - just ask your current therapist for a recommendation?
Kate Charters has practices in Harrogate and Leeds. Recommended http://www.kctalkingtherapy.co.uk
My 10 yr old daughter goes to the Oakdale Centre on Valley Drive in Harrogate but they offer a range of services for all. Based on our experiences with them I would recommend.
