I've started the Pact coffee one

Wife has a hair products one - presumably 24 little jars to clutter the bathroom!

Daughter has a crochet one as that is her thing this year.

Any interesting/recommended ones out there?

As above @reeksy that describes ours, we’re bringing up our grandson reet! He also gets amazingly excited by finding a woodlouse, a toadstool or riding on the back of my bike!

I don't think those are supposed to be in the advent calendar, did you store it somewhere damp? 🙂

And also advent running (30 minutes minimum running per day every day), but that’s not really an advent calendar.

Home made ones - one with wee characters you move around with velcro from pocket to nativity scene, the other pockets with choccies in...

Another Wera calendar here. Day 1 is the tool holder so all the other days won't be rattling around.

Have you played any of the previous EXIT ones? I find their regular games to be of varying quality but the advent calendars have been consistently good. You get the odd moon logic puzzle but it's rare.

TryHackMe is worth a look if you like Advent of Code.

We have similar to Matt's, my mum sorts them out, there's a 1000 piece jigsaw for me and my daughter to do, a few pieces every day and a chocolate or sweet.

Homemade ones –  the other pockets with choccies in…

We have some of these put away that my late MiL used to do for us. Chocolates, hotel toiletries, socks and gloves one day at a time. Towards the end of her time, doing 96 mini presents for the 4 of us, it got quite random, no guarantee you ended up with a matching pair of socks.

MrsMC is keen to restart the tradition....

Loving the jigsaw idea

Think I might start a reverse advent calendar in our house. Throw one piece of crap out each day.

Toblerone one for me. I usually save up the weekday ones to have a little treat with a cuppa at the weekend.

I’ve started the Pact coffee one

I’ve started this too, but 18g of coffee is not enough for 2 cups so I have to make another brew for MrsJ and me.

You could alternate years. Year one, stick a bit of tat behind a door every day. Year two, get last year's stocked calendar and open them all again.

Wera one for me,  we have a spiced rum accent calendar to share too. 24 x 30ml different spiced rums.

I think I prefer the advent calendar to xmas day

Got the Wera one, but I'm not actually getting it until Sint comes on the 5th. Got given a Lindt one from Schmidt wheels at the Essen Motor Show on Saturday, so I need to tuck into that. I'm interested to see if the chocolates are all little wheels!

I have a Marks and Spencer Truffle Liqueurs one, Dark chocolate and a hit of booze - what's not to like. I got my Wife a L'Occitaine beauty advent calendar for extra brownie points (which is working so far).

Sainsbury’s mince pie one. Never had an advent calendar before, it was never something my parents did. My daughter bought me this one as a surprise pre Christmas pressie 🙂

MrsK has the Celebrations advent calender and was well peed off as behind the first three doors were Bounty celebrations and she detests coconuts.

Luckily I don't - Result.

Lego advent calendar.
Definitely a victim of shrinkflation. Very disappointing this year with just minifigures, accessories, and one small model so far 🙁

Lego Star Wars for me and Lego Friends for the 5 year old daughter. First year I’ve done it so no expectations but I’m loving the mini builds so far, and the firstborn is getting loads of play out of hers as well.

Nothing myself,  but my 5 1/2 Yr old has decided he doesn't like his Lindt chocolate,  so I get chocolate and swap him a cookie each day - win win.

I did just finish me last year's one in November,  as wife forgot about it and found in the wardrobe and gave to me few weeks ago - I'll be honest, I didn't stick to the 1/day plan.
