Not not that kind of adult...

Now this may sound like a boring question with an obvious answer, but...

I have a day off tomorrow with Mrs Lunge, don’t want to waste it with chores and sitting around. When we have days off it’s normally for a reason and as we have plans, tomorrow we don’t.

Talked to her, we struggled to think of anything to do. If we had 2 or 3 days we’d go away, but as it’s a day, we’re not. So dear STW, what do adults do on days off?

So, inspire me/us with what adults do for a few hours on a Monday afternoon? Walk around local country park followed by coffee/pint is the unimaginative option but we want to be inspired!

West mids based if that helps.

Bit middle aged but Witley Court is deffo work a visit - amazing ruined house and gardens.
Y
ou could go to Stoke Prior and have a glassblowing lesson there - you'd have to call first thing am to see if they have a space.

Trip to Oxford and a walk around the Ashmolean?

Day hire a canal boat from Black Prince - also Stoke Prior

Get to your nearest zoo. Dependent on their ethos and your ethics of course.

If I had a day off and a Missus P I'd be going for a walk in the country followed by a decent pub late lunch. Simple pleasures with no time constraints.

Black Country Museum, Art Gallery And Museum, see if there are any shows on in town, maybe head to the Mach Loop if the weather's not too bad... And it would be remiss of me not to suggest a 'Spoons day. 😉

What’s wrong with a simple fun filled day at the Merry Hill Centre, have lunch at Ask or one of the other fine establishments, pop in to Ikea on the way home. Thank me later.

I wouldn't go there tomorrow if you have romance on your mind. I've just looked at the forecast and there's rain predicted through most of the day.

It's going to be too wet to woo.
