I noticed this morning that one of the vertical slate trims around our recently fitted stove has come unstuck. It's wedged in reasonably well, but I want to get it stuck back on. Obviously whatever I use will need to be reasonably heat resistant and I'd rather avoid mixing mortar if I can get away with a tube of something from screwfix. Or would standard tile adhesive be ok?
Bump
toolstation have heat resistant silicone adhesives
Actually normal bathroom silicone sealant is fine in hot places, as long as it's not hot enough to cause the stuff to melt and burn. We have it on our Aga flue and it's fine. I assume you're talking about slate trim in the fire surround, not attached to the stove?
Yes, it's the surround, about a half inch thick. I just gave it a pull after the stove has been on all afternoon and it won't budge, so I guess something with a degree of flexibility would be best. It's warm, but cool enough to touch so maybe I'll try some standard Dow Corning stuff first.
