Does nothing for me, oversung, struggling to fit the words in and a rather dull song to boot. Rolling in the deep on the other hand is a great song and suits her blast it out style.

Every time Rolling in the Deep comes on the radio I think the chorus sounds like Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones.

Probably just me though.

Have to agree with the first guy who posted on youtube -

"no crazy clothes,no half naked business, no crazy hair and make up, no big production of dancers and flashy lights, just a piano and a mic,? and it was breathtaking."

She does have an amazing voice that has an edge to it, not really my sort of music, but I find myself listening to her because of her voice and lack of prententiousness (you know what I mean even if my fingers don't!) that inflicts so many of her contemporaries

Unfortunately I find her voice and songs limited. I suspect that's even some of the appeal, anyone can sing along to her songs as most people can get near enough to sounding like her. Being popular and having that ability is not necessarily a bad thing but I've known better singers who will probably never get broadcasted on the TV.

and lack of prententiousness

Not the opinion of most of the staff at the BRIT school. I never had the pleasure of teaching her (before my time) but consensus amongst the staff that did can be found by re-arranging these words into a well known phrase;

arse well up her own.

The album is fantastic, I remember her saying that an artist has all their life to write their first album but only 12 months to write their second. I think she did a pretty good job.

Track 5, [url=

Fire To The Rain[/url] is absolutely stunning...

I really want to dislike her (especially as my mother-in-law likes her!), and normally the music is pretty bland imo, but when someone decent gets hold of her stuff and remixes it, sometimes the results can be pretty great

[*]no crazy clothes...Would struggle to find something yo fit I'd imagine[/*]
[*]no half naked business... I think we're all thankful for that![/*]
[*]no crazy hair and make up... How does it go? You can't polish.. ;)[/*]
[*]no big production of dancers and flashy lights... Quite glad it was poorly lit.[/*]
[*]just a piano and a mic,? and it was breathtaking... It was good. Not her best song though[/*]
I'll happily listen to her sing but her interviews...!!

Really? I thought she was pretty down to earth? (genuinely)

I think she has a nice voice but that song is pretty monotonous (and I normally like female vocal ballads). I get the sentiment of the song, just found it went on a bit, without going anywhere....

Probably great live though.....

This is more up my (uncultured) street....
