Rainman - utter rubbish; Tootsie - garbage; Outbreak -indescribable.

I might give you Outbreak, but the other 2 are not bad films.

Can't fault Matt Damon much tbh..

Good call. But he was in that one about the zoo which is meant to be awful.

Tom cruise are you having a tin bath? I'm struggling to think of good ones!

Connery's last bond film was poor, disclosure was cack as well

Maggie smith was in the royal Darjeeling whatsit, utter tripe, Jim Broadbent (a favourite actor of mine) was in Moulin Rouge

Robert Redford has a pretty good CV.

Yes Tom Cruise. I am not a big fan myself, although Collateral is one of my favourite films of recent years. Also really like Minority report. Good and crap are so subjective but look at his list of credits. Not a huge amount of flops in there. He is consistent and most of what he appears in is at least watchable.

Acting ability aside, he appears in a far higher percentage of at least 'goodish' movies than say Pacino or De Niro.

Connery also, of course he has appeared in some guff, personally like Outland but don't like The Rock, however loads of people love The Rock.

Sean Connery.

Some great, some good, some average, but then there's this...

Philip Seymour Hoffman has been in Along came Polly, Hunger Games and MI2, so at least three stinkers.

Jamie Foxx was in Stealth, which is as bad as it gets.

I move to strike Hunger Games of the "stinkers" list.

^ seconded

Cruise, despite being a complete fruitcake, is a fair call.

Also, marion cotillard.

You're right, MI:2 was a stinker but Philip Seymour Hoffman isn't in it. He's in MI:3, the J. J. Abrams one, which is a great film, as is Hunger Games. Haven't seen Along Came Polly...
