I'm back (a chorus of who? from everybody who hasn't missed me at all). STW is my last resort - have a second date tomorrow with somebody I'm getting on really well with (for context, I finally separated from my partner of 20 years a few months ago, and this is the first lady I've been on a date with, so I have absolutely no idea how to do these things - I'm fairly sure I'm also the first new person she's dated for over 10 years). We were planning on going for a gentle walk, probably along the river, but I'm sure we both had much the same idea about what it was going to be, possibly even with a picnic lunch. However the forecast for tomorrow is rubbish - I'm thinking even with an umbrella that's going to be a bit horrible. Just to head off some suggestions she has an injured ankle so it needs to be only gently active and I'm also sure she was planning on dressing up a bit (have had a hint that she has new clothes).

I suppose non-active date suggestions might also help, but we are both very active and like the outdoors which made the choice obvious if the weather was good. Just in case there are any specific ideas involving wandering around somewhere inside, I'm in Worcester, though she's a bit nearer Kidderminster so anywhere near there would be good too.

If it wasn't that there's also lots of wind forecast I'd just take a brolly and it would work well.

As for other suggestions, I wish I was able to be that direct, or sure that if I even hinted in that direction it wouldn't be taken the wrong way (though I have been pondering how to hint that we could just go back to hers - far various reasons, going back to mine isn't an option!) Despite it being only a second date we have been chatting for months and I'm actually feeling quite confident she really likes me and is expecting this to go somewhere...

Though whilst typing that, I have just had a message back from her that she's thinking about what we can do - we have at least reached the point where we're comfortable that it's not just up to me as the man to come up with ideas (she's incredibly independent, so me telling her what we're doing would never go down well!)

Go canoing, it's active and wet. And then go ballroom dancing so she can dress up

There's a stand up paddle boarding place near Worcester (Aztec adventure??). Can't vouch for it but might be fun. Then warm up with a pub lunch?

If it's successful please name your first born after me.

Go for a wonder around croome park or spetchley both not far from you. Lovely gardens & houses even with a brolly and both have lovely tea rooms if the weather turns really inclement
