I've currently got a cheap dv4000 action camera but the colours are all quite wishy washy. That's not doing the recording of our rad lifestyle any justice.
What's the current sweet spot in action cameras? - current one gets used a handful of times a year so not wanting to spend mega bucks, but equally want decent quality footage...
I know you said not mega bucks but the go pro 7 is just awesome. Takes great stills also. Good deals starting to appear as the 8 is on its way I believe.
You really can't beat any of the current GoPro's and most of the older ones, if you fancy Ebay. I did buy a Apecam last year but found the file types particularly difficult to play with on my Mac.
