Aren't you supposed to be a finely tuned athlete rather than some baggy Jeaned reprobate dancing around in a dank warehouse?

Definitely get some Altern-8 in there. Saw them at Awesome 101 in Livingston way back in the day - awesome indeed!

I'd add Lil Louis - French Kiss or Blackout.
Joey Beltram - Smokebelch.
Stakker - Humanoid is a definite too.

Some songs on here were defintely later than 88-90 acid house.

I blame people's hazy memories on the drugs. Lots and lots of loverly drugs.

Strongest acid I ever had was a getafix, closely followed by some purple microdots which produced proper, proper, hallucinations. 😆

Everyone should do acid at least once. It should be The Law.

Rubarb and Custards with a blotter inside and Window panes ha now that really was trippy!

Very few of these tracks are acid house, there's lots of great tunes from back then but acid was 87/88 and a bit older than all of this like Adonis too far gone etc etc

Most of these tracks were what they played at Sunrise and Energy etc etc in 89.

I was there but am no expert on account of all the gear see.

I like this one

Aphex - is Mr Kirks nightmare the 'your son is dead' record? If so I've got great memories of Hartshead Moor services, a car boot full of speakers and that track. Always wondered what it was called.

Hurrys off to Tescos..

Why are folk recommending garage tracks when the OP is asking for Acid?

Try Phuture (The Next Generation) - Times Fade or anything else on D-Jax Up Beats for hard jacking acid or any early Plastikman like Sheet One or Consumed for more minimal acid.

@ organic - agreed, real acid house had a very short life from 86-87 until it turned into the mainstream pop like stakker and d mob. Trax and DJ International labels are still worth checking out, Adonis, Virgo and DJ Pierre are still my favourites a lot of it gives me a headache now though.

The first acid house track from India in 82, or is it?

I was thinking the same- anyway, Hardcore and House were all part of the same scene really. Even Drum and Bass.
I just love everything from the era (proper music i mean!).

I have to throw this into the mix 😉

The Megabass trilogy of albums are the soundtrack to my life- they still get played daily! You just can't top em 8)

Also you need a copy of this in your life!

The Op is fairly loose so not anal about years...

I know some of the choices aren't strictly acid-house but many have the newer acid sound. It's all good stuff.
