To fight consumerism I shall not drink any apple flavoured Tango
For conservation reasons I will not urinate on any polar bears
and for environmental reasons I will not drill any new deep sea oil wells.

I think I am safe there.

As I look back on 2021 I feel pretty happy I achieved my last resolution to lose 25k. I think my resolution for 2022 needs to be to keep it off!

I resolve not to contribute to the endless stream of sick edits showing awesome skills on amazing trails by riding slowly, walking anything that looks a bit iffy and not being filmed while doing it (happy new year RUCKUS members!)

I'm giving up listening to England cricket test matches on the radio as it's too depressing

Moneybags.

I'm now well into my 51st year on the planet and in 2022 I will lose at least 51 pounds in body mass. Not a new year thing though, just something I want and have to do.

My top tip is do not set a challenging annual goal for time riding over the year.

Admittedly, 2021 turned out to be quite a rubbish health year for me compared to how I've generally faired since 2017 when I began cycling for fitness. All three Covid vaccine jabs hit me for six (especially the first), then there was the worst flu of my life to date through most of October, plus a lurgy back in Feb. I lost count of the number of times where I jumped on the bike to chase my one hour a day average instead of just jacking it in, it feels so nice today knowing the monkey is off my back and I can now choose whether I really feel like riding or not.

A mate lost 50lbs for his 50th last year, transformed his cycling bastard. I'm now 52, hoping to just get away with needing to lose 30.....

End world hunger and lead the world to peace.
Not to have any lofty unachievables.

My resolution for 2022 is not to kill anybody…

No, actually, that sounds a little far fetched.

For 2022, I’m going to TRY not to kill anybody…

No, still a little lofty I fear!

For 2022, I’m only going to kill those who really deserve it…

I know, I know, it’s optimistic but… You’ve got to aim high, haven’t you! 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm phasing out alcohol by 2050.

Clean the toilet at least four times. That's my stretch goal but I'm hopeful.

SMART

Specific
Measurable
Acheiveable
Realistic (might be the only bone of contention here, I’d go 2080 to be safe myself)
Timebound

Like it! 👌🏻

I need to learn to cook better chips (not French fries) that are not soggy. Yes, I am struggling to cook proper chips. But I can cook rice better than any of you LOL!

My eminently achievable resolution for 2022 is to learn a few more letters of the Greek alphabet.

To beat 4 people in an Enduro race with Southern Enduro

If you'd find a slightly more northern one to enter then I could assist with that goal 🙂

I’d like to ride at some new and interesting places this year. Although 2021 was a good year for riding, I tended to go to the same 8 or 10 places again and again.

I plan to remedy that in 2022 if covid travel allows.

The secret is TATs

Tiny-Attainable-Tasks
Don't give yourself a hard time by setting up some Herculean target, better to chip away on a day to day or week to week on something achievable. Then before you know it,things fall into place.
Happy new year weirdos 😀

Does pissing-off skid marks count?

Does Skid Mark still post here? Or did you piss him off already?
