Fav band ever . . . .
Saw them last year on this tour, at the O2. Amazing, as always!!
I saw them last year too, very good too, problem is the newer material is utter claptrap...
"newer material is utter claptrap"
why change a winning formula?
This CD is pretty much a 'best of' which they've always said they'd never do... I'm hoping they might do another tour on the back of this, would love to see them live (even old and crusty as they are now 😆 )
Download in June. Bring it on!!
They are currently still on the tour that started in the US in Oct '08! They'll be doing some festivals in the summer including "Download" at Castle Donnington.
The album for Iron Man 2 is a greatest hits album, same as the one for Maximum Overdrive pretty much was - so I won't be buying it. Watch out for a live DVD from this tour though - due for release in August I think.
🙂
This CD is pretty much a 'best of'
Agreed - and I don't understand why it is being peddled so relentlessly.
I don't even understand the connection between Iron Man and AC/DC (apart from the obvious thing that they are using their music in the film soundtrack). Now if it had been Black Sabbath...
(Still, I do love AC/DC and thoroughly enjoyed the gig last year. Seeing Kiss next Saturday too... 🙂 )
Also they are releasing the Paris gig (with Bon Scott) in June I believe - I shall be getting that if only for the Angus guitar solo - it was a thing of legend 🙂
The only problem with AC/DC is that every song without exception is 25% too long. Some of them are great, but there's not one of them that ends on time. Back in Black's a great 3 minute rock song that goes on for 4 and a half minutes, between 3 minutes and 3.30 is just a bit OTT but then after 3.30 it goes nowhere, just repeats itself for another minute. Annoying.
Just bought tickets to Download... AC/DC, RATM & Aerosmith... **** yeah!
Then, next weekend, 24hr Solo at MM... aaargh
Then, next weekend, Glastonbury... U2, Muse & Orbital... Oh baby... 8)
