Can anyone recommend some good accommodation with bike storage near Coed y Brenin?
We don't mind self-catering but don't want a B&B.
Yes!
This place was ace (in Dolgellau) and we rode from the door into CYB. It's a basic sort of B&B but the rooms were clean, the owner very helpful and the price reasonable too! It attracts a mixture of road, MTB and motor bike ists. Highly recommend.

Edit: just read "don't want a B&B" it's not a normal B&B and there are communal areas and a sort of bar too..
B&B gets you a bacon fry up Full English, which despite the name the Welsh do rather well.

And there is a pub a couple of miles away that does excellent food with huge portions (and 10% discount for Cae Gwyn guests).
We are right in the middle of Coed Y Brenin, about 400m to most of the trails.
Self catering cabins have Asguard secure bike lockers.

I stay at Ferndale. An old gold mine on the river, it is on the mbr trail which means you need a vehicle to go anywhere other than cyb.
It's a large self catering house with bike store, log burner, loads of room and good rates.

Get a cabin with an enclosed porch like in the front page and take a tarp to put the bikes on - that's what we do.

Stayed there once and would go back the next time we're up there.
