Mrs Cloudnine accidentally clicked a link sent in an email from a supposed customer query. It looks like an amazon market place enquiry but its a similar fake URL..What's the best procedure? (Should i post the link?)

Did she enter a password? If so, change it (and any other passwords the same).

Clear browser cache and history, Malwarebytes, full defender scan.

Thanks..

The link didnt work so no password entered.
This is the link..
It doesnt actually work. It might be a genuine enquiry as she sells on amazon, ebay and has a website.

https;//www.amazons-marketplaces.uk/gp/offers-orders-202-7462154-9766432

Already done a full defender scan which showed up nothing

It didn't work because it doesn't exist

No match for "amazons-marketplaces.uk".
This domain name has not been registered.
WHOIS lookup made at 09:20:32 18-Nov-2017

So in this case, I can't see any problem. But in general, what wwaswas said.

Internet/anti virus police or Amazon probably killed the link/host before you clicked on it 🙂

Is that the text displayed or the actual link target?

Yes.. that's how the link was pasted in the email.

There was some text written querying an order but it doesn't relate to am order

Surely there’s an ‘s’ on the end of Amazon and marketplace that shouldn’t be there?

Yes.. my wife didnt look at the link properly before clicking it.

Just seemed like an odd email. With a link that doesnt actually work (unless its already been taken down)

That was the text in the emai I assume or have you looked at the email source text?
If the former then it’s unclear where the link really goes to
