At work I need to find a company that will supply a ladder and platform to cross a conveyor. The space available is very tight so I was trying to use a ladder at each end rather than stairs does anybody know if this is possible within UK regulations. It is only for maintenance so no regular access. It needs to bridge a conveyor 1100mm wide and 1000mm high. I can find what I want from american suppliers but not uk or european.
This is what I would ideally like.

Had similar stuff made for roofs where access was needed over duckwork or other such plant. Plenty of companies will make that kind of thing. Have a search for "permanent roof ladder" and a few come up..

Bespoke from a steel fabricator would be the way to go. Buying something ready made but perfect in dimensions would be nigh-on impossible I’d imagine.
I've got about 6 access units over conveyors here at work almost exactly that dimension, we had them made by a local fabrication company. It was cheaper than off the shelf ones as well!
Give it till the end of May and you can have one of them for free if your local to Liverpool, this site is shutting down then.
You'll never get the plane though that thing.
The plane doesn't move so it doesn't have to go under it
As an off the peg solution you maybe need 'Bridging steps'

or a deckspan tower

You’ll never get the plane though that thing.
46 minutes too late....
You can use ladders if space requires, not ideal but for irregular access in a limited space it would be easy to argue it was reasonable. As above local fabricator is likely the best option.
Would probably add a lock off type of plate on the steps to restrict use to required people only and a gate or chains to stop people falling off.
