It's not very big, if you're there for a couple of days you'll have chance to sample pretty much everything on offer.

Make sure you go to Porth Neigwl (aka hells mouth).
A beautiful surfers beach.

It might be mayhem this weekend as it's WakeStock up the road, so lots of randoms wandering around covered in mud!
Eat at Angelinas (in the village) if you can - nice wih a mixed menu.
Mananas for mexican but if you want to eat on the first sitting you'll need to join the queue at 5:45 (bit pricey for us now esp as the menu is basically the same as it has been for the last 10 years)
Chinese at the Riverside is supposedly good and for Thia the Coconut Kitchen is very nice but [again] pricey. Service at the Indian used to be complete b******s but may have perked up - not been in there for 8 years.
A kids fave is the Glyn Y Widdw in Llanbedrog - good pub food and there's a play bit too.

Drinking: Zinc, St Tuds or The Riverside (say hi to my nephew who should be working)

It's the most materialist place in Britain, full of Cheshire wives and BMW driving cocks. That's why it's called Vulgarsoch.

We're there on a stag do so Cheshire wives and girls covered in mud sounds awesome. We will be surfing, not sure where yet.

Llandegla on the way too. Can't wait!

If Hells Mouth isn't any good you may want to try Porthmadog Ceriad which is in-between Abersoch and Hells Mouth. Little tricky to find but sometimes gets the waves.

Sharkbait's words are worthy. But, he is meaning Porth Ceriad, not Porthmadog.
See you there at the ADW weekends Sharkbait.

It's lovely just out of season when the scousers have left and the Welsh language returns to the pubs and shops.

I live in North Wales but not on the Llyn, we go there quite a bit to all the nice places. Popped to Abersoch last year for a day with the kids and was truly astonished at how utterly bad it had become over the last few years. Revolting place, A bit like Dubai without the skyscrapers !!

It sounds brilliant - can't wait! As long as theres some semi decent surf, the sun shines and theres some nice places to eat and drink then we'll be fine.

Is there a t*tty bar there? 😆

There was a new cocktail bar last time we went. And I've always been a fan of the St Tudwels opposite the curry house and the Vaynol down by the corner

i'd be changing my plans because of the wakestock fest. thepubs and bar are generally full of underage drinkers and locals from Pwlleli. apart from that, the surfing is ok and its quite a nice town but there are nicer places (quieter too!)

It's the last Wakestock at Abersoch/Pwllheli this year as it's been sold and in the future is going to be held at Bangor (apparantly) - good news 🙂

There was a new cocktail bar last time we went.

Zinc - small but pretty nice.
Still like going for a beer up to the Rising Sun at Llanengan (on the way to Hells Mouth). A bit pub foody now but the back bar is still nice and food-free.
