My uncle works in Whitby and lives in Pickering. He hasn't been to work since Wednesday. I'd say that's a no:-/

Today our delivery vans were going to Whitby via Scarborough, but tomorrow morning we have to get orders to the Mallyon and Goathland Hotels. Both hotels suggest the road is open, so I'll let you know what the situation is when our vans arrive ( or don't) back in the yard.

Well, our van only just got into Goathland, but the driver wasn't happy with the road conditions due to us having another 3" of snow last night. Officially the road is closed and our driver reckons it should be open late on Saturday if we get no more snow and the existing stuff doesn't drift....
