When navigating at sea just remember the long words and short words go together on the same side
So RIGHT = STARBOARD = Green (lights)
and LEFT = PORT = Red (lights)
When navigating at sea ...
Better tip is to just stay the **** away from the sea. Anytime anything bad happens, some clown pipes up with, "Worse things have happened at sea." Let's face it, the sea is a horrorshow of atrocities, no idea why anyone would want to go there.
Don't discard your nail clippings. Collect them up and deposit them in a pop sock, tie a knot and shazzam! you have a DIY pan scourer. (Viz)
I used to get a weird disconnection thing when walking or running with Bluetooth earphones in. When I turned my head they'd cut out. Not a deal breaker but annoying.
Then I discovered that with the ones I have, the first one you take out of the charger doofer connects to the phone; the other connects to the first one. Following so far?
I always used to take out the left one first, but my phone goes in a right-hand side pocket.
See where this is going?
I threw the bastards away and got some wired ones instead.
Just kidding. I take the right-hand side one out first now. Et voila, no more cutting out.
If cutting wood by chisel or plane or by router, think of your wood like how you stroke a cat or dog.
Wood is made up of fibres, just like how you make a cat... kind of.
If possible, you will generally get better, cleaner results by cutting in the direction that the grain lies.
If you stroke a cat bum to face, you are going against the natural 'lie ' of the fur and the cat will most likely scratch your eyes out and watch you bleed out with a satisfied purring.

It's similar when planing or chiseling wood.
Notice how in the image below the plane travels in the 'uphill' direction of the lie of the grain that you can see on the edge of the wood. It's lie is being smoothed down by the plane, not ripped up, as it might be if you planed in the opposite direction.

It's not always possible to follow this rule of thumb religiously, but it's a good thing to bear in mind.
Sometimes you might get a bit of wood where the lie of the grain is in both directions similar to below.
Often in this situation it can be a case of trying and seeing which way you get a cleaner result with.

Think about it when routing. The direction of cutter rotation should cut the grain uphill if possible. Think about it when planing/thicknessing. Think about it when using a chisel or really any cutting tool.
Be the cat.
Stop buying expensive toilet descaler and use your toilet to remind you to descale your espresso machine! Simply use the descaler water flushed through the espresso machine for descaling the toilet! When the toilet next needs descaling ding!ding! Time to descale the espresso machine!
Or better still ... move to an area where you don't need to descale anything!
... that never gets old.
