Nothing normal in here, just this sort of thing
A Slovenian mandolin cover of Out of Space.
Flashy I saw that last week I think. It’s fun! Grates a little in parts mind, a bit twangy.
This has Wu Tang approval . NSFW in any shape form, hope mods don’t mod.
Very much NSFW.
That Led Zep cover is pretty good
(-:
Nobody's posted the Steve'n'Seagull's cover of Thunderstruck yet? I'll put that one up next.
In the meantime, here is the B&B Project playing a cover of the theme song to BBC's Sherlock:
Now, although I'm sure you all know it, Steve'n'Seagull's Thunderstruck. It really is brilliant.
The underrated Cable doing a very upbeat version of San Quentin in Brixton prison:
Just another Genesis cover
I almost prefer this to the original...
Dropkick Murpheys AND Metallica?
Cha cha cha cover of Autobahn
Sitar version of Jumpin Jack Flash
Not really bonkers (except in terms of quality) but loving this at the moment.
Nothing will ever beat the original, but that's not really the point of covers...
I adore that Katzenjammer one. Such good use of tuba.
Also, there's this:

This meets the OP's criteria pretty solidly I'd say...
Snuff, I think we're alone now. A bit different to Tiffany

Genuinely love the Little Roy covers album of Nirvana songs...
Thread delivers.
Two of my faves, and I really don't usually like this kind of music.
This one is really bloody good:
from the comments:
I love Bonjo I.. I love African Headcharge... but I really should get round to disposing of my 12" of this.
I had the 12" too. I'd just buy anything that popped up behind (usually empty) ON-U Sound divider in better record shops. Its the only time that proved to be a disappointment. Although it was funny for 5 minutes.
A cover of a pretty obscure Crystal Castles song about Class A drugs (Untrust Us) sung by a school choir.
Wonderful
[why don't my links go to the videos any more]
Rightmove - Norwegian style
Music threads only from me 😁
Great version by Laibach of a song that really should be in the Worst Song Ever thread.
Meanwhile...
Does this COUNT as a cover?
Ah but the Alex Harvey Delilah cover isn't bonkers. It's bloody brilliant.
Another winner from Bill Bailey
I adore that Katzenjammer one. Such good use of tuba.
If you ever get the chance to see them play, grab it, they’re a fantastic live band! They’re all multiinstrumentalists, so they’re continually swapping instruments through the set, and they’re great fun.
After just watching The Meg this
My fav Bill Bailey
Lindsey Stirling
And if we're doing 2 Cello's
More Ukrainian interpretations of pop. This time, it’s Queen...

That's not bonkers, it's just brilliant.
Age Of Chance should have been huge.
But, back on topic...
And, can't find it online to link to, but The Men They Couldn't Hang and Born To Drink Mild is great too.
