If this place ceased to exist, what would it mean to you?

I think I would try and stay in touch with a few people from here, other than that I am not really on here as much these days.

I thought this place was a figment of my imagination.

I'd be gutted. Only decent place I know of to chat on the net.

I'd have to find somewhere else to waste too much of my time.

I'd lose a very good source of info on routes/servicing/fixing bikes, and all sorts of other random stuff.

I'd feel like my favourite pub had closed, a place where both good and bad people mix, somewhere to have a chat and share ideas, somewhere to have a barny.

I would treasure all that I had learnt about the judgemental whingeing middle-classes .............I would feel eternally grateful to STW 🙂

EDIT : maybe that should say "lower middle-class".......they appear to be the most insecure and pretentious.

I would actualy have to make the effort to ride the bike more, and meet intelligent, clever, arguementative, arrogant, helpful and sometimes funny fellow bike riders.

you are all miserable buggers anyway so I'd miss you like I missed my ratty, evil smelling, incontinent old cat when he passed away. He was ace when he was young, lovely in the middle bits and something you persisted in loving through all the mess and anguish of old age, just for those odd days when a bouncy bit of fun kitten came back for a short while.

It'd be a shame. But not that big a deal. I think when the poo-flinging monkeys are quiet or otherwise distracted, this site's a pretty cool thing.

I would miss it and am not ashamed to admit that! There's some terrific people on here, many of them make me laugh, a few make me angry, many in real life are great and have become good friends. 8)

Would definitely have withdrawal symptoms. 🙁

On here I can live my life as davidtaylforth, the straight talking, no nonsense cycling god who lives off road kill and shrubs, builds stonewalls for breakfast and can handle himself in any situation. A true stw hero.

If this place ceased to exist, I could only live my life in the real world (which is much more entertaining)
