Particularly if you are in Scotland, particularly in the last year.

What amount of documentation (Tenancy agreement, receipt, inventory etc) do you have for taking out the rent?

Do you get a physical copy or electronic copy?

For the record: I know what it should be, I am just interested in how many other landlords do what they should.

We do it exactly - its about a ream of paper! Even down to giving them the stuff they have to read before they sign the lease that no one reads. Not one tenant has been interested in any of it.

Now seems to be changing.
