Strangely comes across like an episode guide for the Detectorists.

Snowmobiles understandably popular. Can you imagine how much fun they'd be in the flat empty white.

The child face down in the snow and unresponsive could have been the start of a case

Whiteoak saved a domesticated farm duck that was found on a busy road and nearly got hit by cars. The duck made it home to its owners. The owners where happy to have their duck, named Mo, back. They explained that Mo is known as their watchdog.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a dog.

Absolutely awesome! I was doing some work with the Swedish MoD (FMV). The guy running the assessment programme took us up near Are and borrowed all the demo stock from his local snowmobile dealer. These weren't your typical, low powered rental stock, but 900cc and 1200cc 'sports' models. Find yourself a frozen lake and we were doing 160kph. Way more stable than I expected due to the wide track and the weight being so low down. I did manage to 'capsize' trying to negotiate some deep snow. Being Sweden, there was some prodigious drinking too - all on the Swedish FMV tab - trying doing that on any UK Government dept.

You make it sound like it being harder to get shit-faced at the taxpayers expense is a bad thing :p That said I'm sure there's probably a lot of alcohol consumed at our expense by UK government departments to...

to be fair I'd happily keep the government in tax payer funded booze if it meant they didn't squander billions of our money on their mates...

It’s quite difficult as it needs a high-level of authority - we used to get the MoD pay for the food and we’d pick up the bar tab. Also drink in Sweden is 3x more expensive- it was 5 of us over 4 days, not a few shandies over lunchtime 😅
