I’m pretty sure that we, the STW massif, can come up with something also that will convey the magnitude, spectacle and expensive of the forthcoming extravaganza.

Here is mine.

There was a young man called Coe,
Who had a plan that cost plenty of dough,
The venue was impressive,
The cost was excessive,
And no ******er could afford to go.

Lack of poetical skills means I'm reduced to plagiarism

There was a young man called Coe,
Who had a plan to make plenty of dough,
It was only the banks,
And their overpaid w**ks,
That could really afford to go.

Olympian I
Water is best,

while gold gleams like blazing fire in the night,

brightest amid a rich man’s wealth;

but, my heart, if it is of games that you wish to sing,

look no further than the sun; as there is no star

that shines with more warmth by day from a clear sky,

so we can speak of no more expensive spectacle than Olympia.

(except for maybe war)

disclaimer - this may also be plagiarised a bit from Pindar
