I got two messages from them, thankfully found a button which ignores all messages from them. Glad to know they’re banned.

My dad posted his car on Gumtree yesterday and within an hour had an enquiry from someone who wanted to buy it without seeing it, could only pay using paypal, had to use an different email address because their corporate server was down, was sending a friend to pick it up......

Also point to note if someone comments on your classified item you don’t get a notification. So basically have no idea if they are interested until you stumble across it a week or so later.

Why would you if you didn’t know it was there? Furthermore the comments are below the ad content. So unless you scroll all the way to the bottom of the ad you won’t see them.

I only stumbled across a comment 4 days after it was left, no notficiation email or PM. I’d be pissed if I had of paid for an ad!

In fact I checked an ad again and low and behold another comment no notification so they are definitely not switched on to notify you.

Would be really useful if you could say "only posters with X number of posts" so that you can only get messages from Big Hitters people who've used the forum

Agreed not sure why there cant be a minimum post caveat. It would eliminate the Karina problem, although Ive embarked on a rather promising romantic correspondance with her.
