Any tunes which are older but you've recently discovered and are actually ace or any up to date tunes.... let's have 'em.... Electronic beats which came vaguely under the Dn'B genre...?

Here's one by an ace British Duo... absolutely love this... standing on mountain tops, sun shining, the descent awaits you... have it!

Oldie:

Came on the radio the other day and forgot what an absolute banger it is:

Newie:

Really liking Dimension’s stuff. Coming from the more techy nu-school side of things:

Also still loving Kove - Valkyrie

Had goldies incredible sounds on cd but as with all cds, it got lost. This thread helped me find it again. It’s going to be a good night. Now to hunt down the other disc.>

When I listen to it I think that I only listen to old drum n bass now! I can never get enough of Noisia's older stuff.

Pendulum's best tune IMO and I think their only release on Renegade Hardware, think I have this on vinyl.

Oh boy that takes me back, loved stuff on barcode and freak. Also loved Limewax, had this as my ringtone for a while which drew some looks when I forgot to silence my phone in the office and had headphones on. This stuff also took me bloody ages to work out how to mix.

In morzine a few weeks ago Spotify suggested this track while we were chilling watching the sun go down over the mountains, perfect.

Summer '92 - big warehouse rave and Slipmatt dropped this  chart hit. The rudebois in the dance all started a lazy skank and I was in love with d+b forever.

Top class tunes while clean and pack for holiday.

Do you guys ever listen to some of the new American DnB artists...such as Bear Grillz....Excision...towards the heavy dub side. Really good.

I love dnb but really don't hear much new stuff I like these days. Also really love old Noisia as above, don't like their recent stuff but fair play they've done really well for themselves. I can remember them on DOA many years ago when they were n00bs asking really basic production questions [img] [/img]

Here's some more:

Wolftek & Midn8runner - Soulseek

DJ Tamsin & The Monk (from 1993!) - A Better Place

Calibre & High Contrast - Mr Majestic

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nswe73umPQk

Black Sun Empire - Dark Girl

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML-5B4jT7ko

Broken Note - The Fury

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9cLROlVnZw

DJ Rap - Bad Girl (I'll probably get slated for this one)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hObtf4lFBu8

For anyone who wants some longer mixes to listen to I can highly recommend the "Telemetric Transmissions" series and also mixes by F1rst Pers0n on Youtube, they are excellent.

New one from Seba and Robert Manos on vocals. These guys rarely disappoint.

or this effort by Sam Perry. Drum and bass using your voice and a loop station.

ps. if you liked that Coco Bryce track I posted, a lot of his stuff is free download on Bandcamp. Some a bit more "trap", but I digs it.

Here's some others not on here yet

Loving all these. I do like the clean drum n bass sound  a la Amen break and jungle and what has come to be called liquid but I also like the big chunky heavy bass sound of what has come to be called trap, basically it's all good!

That guy with the vocal loop station was ace, makes me want a shot and an evening with some mates to **** around with it.

I got one on the back of listening to stuff like that. He has 2 main bits of kit there, but the main one is a Boss RC505. Really easy to get some effective songs out if you can sing a bit, have a bit of timing and a feel for the type of music you want to produce.

Also checkout Dub FX, Morf, Mr Woodnote, Saro, Beardyman for that kind of stuff.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for good dnb remixes or famous samples from film or pop music. Something like these

Seba Dangerous Days sampling Bladerunner

Xil remix of Morricone

Remix of Englishman in New York

One of my all time fave tracks, with a film sample from somewhere... Google says Sin City, but it sounds like Rutger Hauer (oh, it is 🙂 ). It's drum n bass of the extreme kind

If anyone remembers Blame a la Good Looking Records (and his own label 720 degrees) he's recently popped back up on Facebook and has been allowing downloads of his back catalogue. Bloody nice chap too.

Oh, and anything Chris Blu Mar Ten does is gold too.

Heist is someone to have a gander at.

Local boy Dart does his DnB show every Weds at 3pm here in WA. Today's show was mint.

Lenzman, DRS, etc etc

Some deep liquid stuff from Naibu

Blame during GLR was great. Similarly I would love to get a CD or download of Progression Session Live by Intense. I can only see videos on youtube of tracks like Wasteland and Afterlife.

I've got all the Logical / Progression sessions cds. Prized possesions. The Intense one was great too. Nice to have a live dnb mixup. There's a local band here that do live DnB covers. Bloody awesome. Google "freqshow" or youtube it.

Oh, Blame Alpha 7 is a choooooooooon!

Finally found my DnB MTB cross over tribe!  Loving this thread.

Saw DJ Zinc b2b with Special Request at Lovebox festival in London a few weeks ago.  It was the music thing I've most enjoyed ever.  Zinc played Super Sharp Shooter.  My mate was wearing his Super Sharp Shooter T shirt and we all went nuts.

Listened to that Goldie Boiler room set. I don't know what it is but I can't stand the crowd at these gigs. Something about them being 18, no clue of the tunes and the dancing..... Not the kind of jungle nights I remember (the ones when I realise I was "one of the white bwoi's" at the gig and the careful art of dancing like a mentalist but not accidentally bumping into someone who might stab me). Ah, the good old days.

Anyway, here's Randall with the "History of Jungle". Big shouts out to the phone line massive, keep it locked.

Love a bit of Bukem. I always want to see him live but he uses his fb sparodically. He'll put like 'catch me here next week' that's no good to me Danny, I need 'catch me here in 6 months' so I can ask the Mrs, plan child care and book a hotel.

Is that a dog barking?

Funny that, just reminded me of an old Andy C track I used to play - there was an electronic sound on it that used to make my dog bark at the stereo! Can’t remember the track now.

Sound Control?

Love a bit of Bukem. I always want to see him live

Bukem, or "Mr No Show" as I used to know him. Mates of mine put together regular small and occasionally larger club nights and had to get the local guys to fill in a couple of times. Also, no grammar skills. Blindingly good label though.

Goldie was a complete diva, too. Got his mate to park the Porsche at the other end of town and was way late because of it FFS. Then proceeded to play a bunch of reinforced tracks without doing any mixing. Still, club filled up because he was on the flyer.

Oh I'm so sorry, would you prefer I posted 25 year old stuff that everyone has heard? It is new fresh music inspired by early jungle. Surprised you're not on the case Dez, it's Tadd Mullinix/Dabrye.
