Haley and Morgan James have been a cornerstone of my lockdown listening this summer and I love them both.
Nice to see Haley in a studio set up other than with Post Modern Jukebox and giving a somewhat less OTT stylistically performance than PMJ demands, just her and her dad on acoustic guitar.
Two good songs too.
To be honest, I think she sounds way better singing like a 30's/40's Jazz singer than singing like a female version of Chris Cornell. Her PMJ recordings floored me, she is a ****ing awesome crooner.
I think the great thing about PMJ is the arrangements and the way they seem to push the artists.
Haley's Black Hole Sun and Morgan's Dream On are two highlights for ms and not at all coincidentally two of my favourite songs before I heard their versions.
I don't care. I like her.
