I hate my birthday. Always have. And this year, it is particularly strange.

That said, I got something that reminds me of where it all began for me.

You’ll make my day if you understand.

Happy birthday!

I'm 51 in April, totally forgot about it to be honest. Never really bothered celebrating them usually, but still waiting for some sort of present for my 50th from the family

It's going to be my 50th as well...hadn't thought of that before now. Maybe I'll get something special like an extra bowl of gruel. 🙂

If I got that for my birthday I'd feel a bit fobbed off.

I'll have to ask! That said, my brother always told me I was adopted.

Happy Buffday! It's my Mum's today too. Although she was happy for the Zoom message with us she was a bit upset not being able to see the kids in person. It's my daughter's on early April so that's likely to be under lockdown. She's already had her birthday party cancelled on top of school residential, 2 scout camps and Yr6 prom so it's not been good for her.

Happy Birthday!

You should have asked for an Xbox.

It's a pretty shit time to be having a birthday. Adults can understand it, but cancelling all my sons plans for this weekend has been sad. We had an overnight trip to Legoland planned staying the the Lego hotel. It's all been cancelled and refunded. It was a surprise for him (and his sisters) so they knew nothing about it, but the disappointment I'm feeling is enough for all of us 🙁

It was mine yesterday and my son's today both have passed by without the usual fuss. We had planned on going out for a nice meal and a few beers (he is 23 and I'm 56) but it will have to wait.

Love the 7-11 key fob though.

It was my 60th yesterday. Had planned a party at a local bar for last weekend but obviously had to cancel that which is a shame as it would also have acted as a big get-together for several friends who have dispersed and who haven't seen each other for a few years.

Very quiet day yesterday - received a few birthday texts etc.; a friend (who lives on a narrowboat) came round to use my washing machine - and as per previous years she almost totally failed to acknowledge it was my birthday; also spent a couple of hours either standing in Boots, in a phone queue to my GP surgery, or going to the surgery o get a prescription sorted, which should have been done automatically - so not the most exicting birthday.

Anyway, in the whole scheme of things, birthdays and other celebrations are fairly unimportant in the current climate, but let's hope it won't be too long before we can get out and socialise again!

My 49th tomorrow. Been WFH these last 2 weeks anyway so my treat to myself is to take a days holiday to watch box sets / play on the console without guilt. Might even zwift it and do some decorating.
To be fair that’s my idea of a good time anyway so nothing spoiling
