That's not a salad. That's known as "shite"

I would get people coming into the pub where I worked asking for "steak pie an chips, nae shite".

If the chef forgot and put a piece of tomato or God forbid lettuce on the plate it would be scraped into the ashtray before the plate hit the table😁

It is served in an ashtray, so perhaps it's a pre-prepared job?

To be fair, those mini wee sweet red things are tasty. I've had them on a pizza before

You’re right, they were a nice surprise (I honestly thought it was arty blobs of ketchup at first!)

Doesn't appear to be deep fried.

I'm calling fake.

Anyway, I'd be more concerned with them serving me my dinner on a piece of wood.

To be fair £3 probably isn't too bad considering somebody will have had to drive south of the border especially for your order.

Having lunch at a hotel on Loch Lomondside, overheard 2 German tourists commenting that all Scottish food was 'brown'

A boy goes into a shop and buys an apple a banana and an orange.

How far south of the Scottish border does he live?

Frankie Boyle.
