I think he wants champions league . I.e to get to the quarter finals and be dumped out . Arsenal can guarantee him that.

Well last weekend coming up and the only things undecided are 4th/5th really.
That will make a dull day 🙂
Sifting through some of the fallout from NUFC and I found this on NUFC.com

Big Sham may have struck the fatal blow, but the knife he twisted may as well have come in a Sports Direct carrier bag, complete with a discount sticker and a free pair of socks.

Make no mistake: this has been all of our own work; from Carver to McClaren, from Berahino to Doumbia, from Coloccini's new deal to a ridiculous pre-season schedule. We did it all to ourselves. Again.

http://www.nufc.com/

But the best line of the week - spot on as usual from Lawro

Sam Allardyce has shown again how good a manager he is, by getting the best out of the players he signed in January, and the ones already at the club.

Interesting

Just cancelled my phone and broadband with them, got an email saying they are improving network (ie actually fixing it when broken) and relocating call centres to the uk .. and putting prices up of course

Forget Champions League , where is Zlatan off to? My bet is LA Galaxy to expand the brand , earn some major coinage and for the 'women weed and weather' CopywriteDr Dre

@howsyour - just seen the news my French isn't too good but he said club hadn't renewed his contract (something about joining managemen - now or in the future ?) he also said (my translation) "i came as a king and I leave as a legend" 😀

Not quite, I'm pinning my hopes on the Magpies putting on one last PL show for the fans and knocking the (nervous) Spuds back to third! 8)

@howsyour 😀 you are right he posted it in English, I am quite pleased with myself for re-translating it correctly from French TV !

He also said he would consider staying in Paris if they replaced the Eiffel Tower with a statue of himself - love it !

Thought that was a bit strange. Ok, so they had a poor finish to the season but they're well out of danger and have been for sometime (not sure if they ever were in any - wasn't following their position throughout). They also got to a Cup Semi-final which will no doubt have generated quite a bit of income from gate receipts - especially with the Wembley semi. Fans seem to like him. Cripes- what do owners and the board bloody want? It's like smaller clubs are all disappointed they haven't done a Leicester. 😀

How about Ibra to China? We sold Jelavic to a Chinese club, the wages they offered him were astronomical!

So what happens now regarding when they'll play it? Going to mess up Utd's cup final plans.

I'd imagine the immediate issue is that bastard of a journey back to Bournemouth after just getting there.

Point each I guess.

City are winning so Utd not in the Champions position.

What do you get after winning the FA cup e.g. Champions League or Europa Cup?

If results stay as they are, this will be the highest Arsenal have finished since 2005.

....and possibly the latest ever St Totteringham's Day as well?

Although, that assumes Arsenal won't end up drawing against [the Mighty] Villa despite having 107% of the possession.

Boom! Pick that out! Nothing more than Swansea deserve. Might be worth playing the Bournmouth game after all.

It's ironic that Spurs are finishing the season by doing an Arsenal! 😆

City somehow managing to continue being dominant with always looking vulnerable at the same time. Swansea have barely been in the game, but city looked ready to capitulate any time they didn't have possession of the ball.

It's a long drive from Bournmouth, to turn round and drive straight back. When the hell will they play it, with United in the FA Cup final next Saturday?

You do wonder, given it may have absolutely no bearing on anything, they'll just call it a draw for the record books and be done with it. Obviously refunding where needed.

Assuming they can even do that.

Spurs just scored and Arsenal looking like....well, Arsenal with a 1 goal lead and all the possession. So could end up as it was before kick off yet.

Mitrovic is a really good player, but boy does he need to calm down a bit.

In the Villa v Arse game, Arsenal are really bad. Playing a Villa team which has to resort to bringing on Micah Rchards, and they just can't score. Really don't deserve 2nd.

Edit: Spurs really don't want this do they?

Edit: Turns out Arsenal do want this.

If this, from the start of the Chelski game, is how Spurs respond to pressure, then they'll never win owt.

Even Arsenal would have to take their hat off to this display of bottlin' it

Think since the Chelsea game Spurs have had nothing to play for, so maybe it's a motivational issue?!

Spurs. The new Arsenal. 😀

Surely finishing above your arch rivals should be motivation enough? At least to beat an already relegated side with 10 men.

I knew we didn't want to rely on beating Stoke. Last week v Swansea and many dropped points for draws throughout the season did for us (I won't blame 8 points dropped due to dodgy refereeing).

I'd have thought that Bournemouth could just find a hotel and play it tomorrow, behind closed doors if necessary to avoid a policing issue? Does anyone care apart from the prize money situation, and they can surely sort that out in some way?

robbie savage summed it up best [ and i hate him]
Spurs managed to finish third in a two horse race

He also pointed ut Sunderland scored more goals than Man U though

Still we might put 19 past Bournemouth and get a CL place 😉

Not sure if second or third makes any difference to CL seeding but its extra prize money and its the principal of fighting to the end of the season and yes of course the relative position to Arsenal matters particularly this year.

Once again Chapeau to Leicester who won the league by 10 points, a proper spanking !

Police at ManU said device was not viable - I assume that means it was a poorly made bomb rather than not a bomb

Indeed, now it's all over and you look at the table to see Leicester winning by TEN points.....its just incredible!

Where on earth will they finish next year?

Just looked at the table - how on earth did they even get in with a shout of Champions League scoring so few goals? Mind you - how did West Brom not get relegated only scoring 34?

Football's a funny old game. Sad I know but I'll probably never get the opportunity to use this useless football statistic again but Man City were top scorers this season as they were in 1937 but that year they got relegated though. After being champions the year before. 😯

As an ex-GK, and knowing how much everyone loves goals I'm tempting a flaming here, but a goal prevented is just as valuable in the final count as one scored at the other end.

Bottom half.

That's the sort of thing (and worse) they said about Southampton after they lost so many players.

I've no doubt CL football will stretch them fixture wise and be a distraction but my prediction ... top half at least and qualify from their CL group

Blackburn Rovers
Might win one CL game but will be humiliated in a few as well. - did you see how long Man City took to adapt and look what they spent

I think they will be lucky to make Europa from League

Its a big ask this season.

I think United have kept more clean sheets than anyone this season?

It's a kind of torture devised by LVG for people watching MOTD. Not only will you fail to see United have more than one shot on target, you'll not see the opposition score either. So it's actually even less fun than watching Villa!

Anyway.... he'll play De Gea up front for the Bournmouth match, who will score 20, thus getting us into the CL. You heard it here first! 😀

OT device was a training device left by a private firm after a sniffer dog exercise, according to the BBC.

"Following today's controlled explosion, we have since found out that the item was a training device which had accidentally been left by a private company following a training exercise involving explosive search dogs.

"While this item did not turn out to be a viable explosive, on appearance this device was as real as could be, and the decision to evacuate the stadium was the right thing to do, until we could be sure that people were not at risk."

I hope they have the budget to reimburse fans for their travelling and ticket costs 😯
