Did a quick forum search but didn’t turn up any previous shares to this video of 90s depravity:

I remember drooling over the GT Timberline and Karakoram in Harry Hall's in Manchester city centre. I loved them, that speckled paint work was great! I think it was Haro who also did a funky frame too.....some classics from that period!

No Kelly Brook, Donna Air etc. etc. etc.

*shakes head*

There is a forum for that.

David Arthur from Bike Magic! More interesting to see him than the bikes. Never heard "Adroit" pronounced like that before.

Never did like Kleins. I had a 93 Giant CFM with Manitou II fork, Smoke and Dart, one of those purple Ringlé hubs but never tried the Sugino disc wheel. The Frame is still in the loft but the fork was binned years ago. I've still got the purple anno' XT 737 cranks too. The XT 737 groupset must have been one of the first, the rear hub is still running fine on a tourer.

As for the Flite saddles, they're on most of my bikes.

Nice, although a bit OTT for me personally.

I had a GT Timberline with the grey speckled paint and chainstay mounted rear U brake.
Damn thin weighed about 2 tonne but was good to ride.

Replaced it with a 95 Pantera which was totally different. Much lighter and far racier position wise. Still have that frame hung up in the garage 🙂

GT Zaskar LE in frost blue from the ‘98 Bikenet Catalogue. Full XTR, SIDs, Crossmax etc. Price was about £4 million, like everything else in that catalogue. The good old days...

My rigid 1993 CFM3 is still my only bike. Still has the original LX rear mech and Exage canti's. Such a great bike, so comfortable to ride 🙂

I sometimes think I'd like one of these slick steel gravel bikes. But there's nothing wrong with my Giant, and what if I spunked a load of cash on something that wasn't as nice to ride...? So I'll keep it a few more years...

That was one of the first bikes that I truly swooned over. SO cool looking at the time...

I was lucky that it was a Xixang LE that I was lusting after so there was zero danger of ever actually buying it. Probably is why I ended up owning 2 titanium hardtails 25 years later though

I had a demo on the carbon frame version. Absolutely awful ride, as most YRTs were

When I started riding at Cardiff uni there was a local guy with a Klein Adroit and matching RS21s. It was a beautiful bike, weighed nowt and went like a scalded cat. I'm sure it's awful to ride compared to modern hardtails, but it really did have some beautiful lines.

Still ride an Adroit and he used the standard pronunciation.

It was an awful ride on reflection, but I didn’t know any better. The Y22 had a carbon frame, Rockshox Judy SL’s in cream and red and full XT, I fitted the first set of V Brakes in my town. I think I cracked 2 or 3 of them.

IIRC, one reason Klein bikes were fast was because they were incredibly stiff, and could be pretty punishing over a distance, especially with the original rigid forks and alloy bars.

The Yeti, the Fat Chance and those Adroits!!!!!

Golden era, probably only due to my impressionable age at the time.

I am going to order some purple Hopes now.
