I remember a video from the late 80's (86-90) that was filmed in front of a neon sign shop, the female singer had very short hair and reminded me of Lisa Stansfield but it wasn't her.

Not Neneh Cherry (she did a great version of X-Ray Spex's Germ Free Adolescence though). It was a white girl with short dark hair and filmed at night in front of the shop in Cambridge Heath Road, Hackney, just around the corner from where I lived at the time.

Ha! - so as well as living round the corner from the neon shop, I also lived round the corner from the lead singer (Corinne Drewery) when I was a kid in Lincolnshire.
