You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Heads up for anyone who likes heavy tunes. I rarely listen now but I just accidentally discovered that they're having an 'all day rage'.
Nothing but rowdy bangers all day. So far it's basically how I wish it was every day. More of this and less of the plinky plonky breathless whimpering and I'd listen every day.
Enjoy.
Just caused some consternation among the kids that are over for a sleepover by turning Nirvana’s Breed up to full volume and leaping around the kitchen. Great mix of tracks so far, and very conducive to hunting down all the popcorn and nerf bullets that are now scattered around the house.
Yup, been cranking it all morning.
Will it be better than listening to my usual Kerrang...
Banging.
An hour into Lauren Laverne on catchup and we've had Motorhead, NWA and now it's Iron Maiden.
Walked into the kitchen and the daughter was dancing to renegades of funk. She turns 2 tomorrow!
Definitely a good move, probably would have turned off yet another "all day rave". Struggled to see what the theme was when I turned it on during Lauren's show earlier - seemed to be a slightly heavier bent, but there were definitely a few interlopers.
Too little too late, Radio 1 extra extra, sorry 6 music can **** off.
6 music is hit and miss for me. They talk a lot about music but sometimes play very little. Gideon Coe being the exception to that rule, he's great.
More and more often these days I stick last night's Gid Coe show on catchup rather than listen to 6 live.
Caught some great stuff this afternoon on Lamaq
Had it on most of the day, some absolute tunes here and there mixed in with the usual 6 music kind of random stuff.
Good listen though. Cheers op
Oh RAGE. I thought he said rave and thought that's some interpretation. Had to turn it off, not my thing.
Most was ok - other than, predictably, MAH's 3 hours of aural pain.

That is a ****ing amazing playlist. Weird to choose I Wanna Go Where The People Go, it's a super positive happy song!
But Mark B and Blade!
i managed to catch from Iron Maiden ont eh list above. Gutted i missed Snuff - Not Listening
as i flipping love snuff. although the early Gallows did get the dissapproving look from the wife that made me grin lots!
Heard this advertised yesterday and have had some of the shows from yesterday playing via sounds whilst working, got very excited when the get up kids were played! still got around 8 hours of listening left
6 music is hit and miss for me. They talk a lot about music but sometimes play very little.
Never been an issue with me, I frequently find the other stuff interesting and fascinating as well as constantly finding new music I’ve not heard before - I only really listen to and from work, I don’t have much time otherwise, but I can pretty much guarantee that during the thirty-forty minutes I get to listen, I’ll hear two new songs; I’m training Siri to Shazam things when I’m driving.
Anyone winging about 6Music should try working twelve hours a day with Kiss History playing. Their playlist I think has about thirty ‘songs’ on it. Hopeless load of utter crap. And no, I can’t wear earphones in the workshop. Couldn’t wear them when I was doing site logistics either, for that matter. ☹️
